3-Day Adventure ride – Cottage Accommodation October 30th – Nov 1st
October 30 | 3:00 pm – November 1 | 4:00 pm
Three days. Endless trails. The Otways at their best.
Overview
Kick off the new season the right way — three full days of riding through some of the best terrain the Otways have to offer. This isn’t a rushed weekend or a box-ticking exercise. It’s proper time on the bike, deeper into the forest, and more of the tracks most people will never see.
Based out of King Parrot, you’ll ride a mix of flowing gravel, forest tracks, and the odd bit of bitumen to link it all together — always at a pace that suits the group. It’s relaxed, supported, and built around enjoying the ride, not surviving it.
Ride Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) — suitable for all experience levels, including those new to off-road riding. Optional bonus tracks are available for riders wanting a little more of a challenge.
Arrival & Welcome — Thursday OCT 29
Arrive at King Parrot Cottages between 2:00pm and 7:00pm the day before we ride.
Get settled into your cottage, meet the crew, and ease into the weekend with a few drinks and a casual briefing. No pressure — just a chance to get everyone on the same page and ready to roll.
Day 1 — Into the Rainforest
We kick things off with a solid breakfast before heading out for our first loop into the Otways.
Expect a good mix of terrain — nothing silly, just quality riding through dense forest, open sections, and some cracking scenery.
- Morning tea in the bush with hot drinks and snacks
- Pub lunch stop
- Afternoon run back toward base
- Relaxed evening back at King Parrot — dinner, drinks, sauna or pool
Day 2 — Deeper Tracks & Hidden Gems
Day two is where we stretch it out a bit more.
New loop, different terrain, and a few of the lesser-known tracks that make this area so good to ride. Tree tunnels, ridgelines, creek crossings — all the good stuff.
- Morning tea on the trail
- Lunch at a different local stop
- Afternoon return to base
- Big dinner, a few drinks, and the usual carry-on around the fire
Day 3 — One Last Loop
We finish with one more solid ride to wrap it all up.
A mix of flowing sections and a few final surprises before we roll back in around mid-afternoon.
- Mid-morning break with snacks
- Final lunch stop with the crew
- Return to King Parrot ~3:00pm
- Quick wrap-up, handshakes, and plans for the next one
